Rumors about the all new version of Melrose Place got me thinking: whatever happened to Billy, Michael and Jane?
Here’s what I found out:
 

Michael Mancini – Thomas Calabro. Go on, I bet he was your favorite as well! Michael gave the devil a run for his money by being indescribably nasty. Especially to poor old Jane, who kept falling for him again and again. Thomas Calabro was the only castmember to stick with the show for the whole hog. Apparently a bit of a one-trick pony, he appears to have disappeared ever since the final show. Maybe the MP revamp will draw him out?

Jane Mancini – Josie Bissett. Aaah, Jane. If I were ever to have a daughter I would make her sit through every MP episode that features Jane&Michael to compile a how NOT to deal with a guy-list. Jane was innocent, sweet, lovely and thick as two planks. Josie Bissett moved on to Law and Order and more recently the Secret Life of an American Teenager. She was married colleague Rob Estes, currently residing in 90210, but the couple sadly split in 2006. 

Jake Hanson – Grant Show. Jake made a lot of hottest-lists in his heyday. Tall, dark ‘n handsome, troubled by his past and he rode a motorcycle! What more does a girl want? Jake always ended up getting screwed by the girls he was dating. Poor luv. Jake was the only character that showed up in all three shows, 90210, Melrose Place and Models Inc. I wonder when they are going to revamp Models Inc.?
Apart from a couple of gigs on shows, Dirt, and, more recently, Private Practice, Show doesn’t seem to have taken Hollywood by storm. Still cute though! 

Amanda Woodward – Heather Locklear. The show got off to a rocky start and the ratings were abismal. That is until Dynasty star Heather Locklear entered the scene as sexy, bitchy and seductive Amanada Woodward. Amanda slept with every male character onn the show except for Matt (Doug Savant), who was gay. Probably the only one who still looks pretty much the same. Scary though that may be, Heather has been having a rough time of it lately. She checked herself into rehab and is trying to rekindle her acting career. Hey, maybe she could actually move back into Melrose Place?

Billy Campbell – Andrew Shue – The most boring character by far! Goody goody Billy finally hooked up with roommate Allison at the end of the first season, but messed it all up. Andrew’s sister is successful actress Elizabeth Shue, but Andrew has done practically nothing since the curtain fell on his Melrose Place stint.

Alison Parker - Courtney Thorne-Smith. Goody two shoes Alison started out dowdy but Ended up with another Billy on Ally McBeal and since 2001 she’s part of the cast of According to Jim. Sydney – After sleeping with most of Los Angeles Sydney got run over on her wedding night!

Matt Fielding – Doug Savant. The token gay man was usually involved in some lawsuit or other. Went on to be Tom Scavo, Lynette’s husband, on Desperate Housewives.

Sidney – Laura Leighton. Jane’s evil sister came to town in season two and Jane would rue the day. Sydney starts off by having a torrid affair with Michael and moves on to blackmail and prostitution. In real life Leighton married costar Doug Savantand the couple has two kids. 

Kimberly Shaw – Marcia Cross 
If you think Bree Vandekamp is scary, you have never seen Kimberly in action! She starts out as a vulnerable decent girl, but after a few rounds with Michael she turns into a psychotic baby stealing plotting harpy who ends up blowing Melrose Place to kingdom come! Marcia Cross went on to fame and fortune in Desperate Housewives as Bree Vandekamp and gave birth to twins.
