Katherine Heigl

I already think Grey´s Anatomy is quite boring, but the endless ´are they staying? Are they going?´-stint with T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl is just plain silly. Come on people, can they just go away already? Please?

Both actors have been trying to check out of the hospital for ages. George has basically been benched for the past two years, so I doubt whether anyone´d notice if he left, but Heigl gets a lot of airtime. Freaky airtime, but airtime nonetheless. George is bored, Heigl wants to try and get her acting carreer going before fan enthusiasm whithers away. You can only do so many silly comedies, I guess (as someone really ought to tell Eddy Murphy) and she wants to be the next Meryl Streep.

Some fan forums are worried the show will be nothing without Heigl, but I think it´ll be fine. Izzy has been getting weirder and more unlikable for months, so I think it´ll be a relief.

Apparently, I´m getting my wish, because co-star James Pickens Jr. blabbed to US Weekly that yes, the two are leaving, probably by the end of this season. Yay! Maybe they can get Addisson back?
