Nora is still trying to find Tommy in Mexico, Rebecca and Kevin tell Holly about their wedding plans, Kitty and Robert bicker about their seperation, Saul gives Ryan his severance package.

As season finales go, this was kinda lame. All the Walkers went on a road trip to find Tommy, supposedly in a cult (!). He wasn´t too thrilled to see them, but who can blame them? Kitty and Robert decide to call it quits. Well. They didn´t exactly try very hard did they? And where did Kitty leave her kid when she flounced off to Mexico? And is it me or is that one really ugly pearshaped baby?Shame about Rob Lowe though, guess we won´t be seeing much of him from now on.

Oh well, now Kitty can get back with diaper guy. Or someone else. Apart from poor Sarah, the Walkers never seem to be shy of a date or two.

Saul feeling guilty I could understand, but he didn´t kill Ryan´s mom, and neither did William! He´s a jerk, but not responsible. So Ryan can look broody and creepy all he likes, but it doesn´t make him right.

Walker marriages seem rather doomed: Tommy & Julia, Sarah & Joe, Kitty & Robert, it´s been quite a year.

one tree hill season 6 finale

Of course, all anyone cared all anyone cared about for this season´s finale was “Is she dead?”. Always a great way to end a season. Well, here be spoilers: she´s still very much alive. Which to me was a bit of a disappointment.I had hoped for lots of drama and there wasn´t any, everybody was happy, sickeningly so even.

Lucas and Peyton and their rather adorable little girl quite literally drove off into the sunset in that black convertible. Nathan made the NBA, Grandpa Dan made a half hearted attempt to redeem himself, Brooke finally told Julian she loved him and got her company back from her mom into the bargain.

It felt more like the end of the series than the end of the season. Where can they go from here? And why should we watch? There are no sizzzling storylines left unfinished, even grandpa Dan isn´t evil anymore.

So how exactly are Lucas and Peyton leaving the series?

Will they crash the old convertible and die? Or get scarred so badly that they can be played by different actors altogether? Maybe the series should have ended here. Or maybe they´ll do another timewarp? What do you guys think?

Chuck and Blair on Gossip Girl

Chuck Bass aka Brit actor Ed Westwick has been cast as one of the great romantic heroes of all time: Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights. The Bronte novel was famously turned into a movie by none other than sir Laurence Olivier way back in 1939.Olivier won an Oscar for his part, I´m not sure Ed will as well.

I think it´s a great bit of casting. In a way, Chuck is a bit of a Heathcliff in Gossip Girl, because he´s a loveable bad guy. Heathcliff is, according to Bronte specialist Andrew McCarthy, “a man prone to domestic violence, kidnapping, possible murder and digging up his dead lover. He is moody and unkind to animals.”

I´ve never seen Chuck kick a puppy or torture a kitten, but apart from the unkind to animals bit, I think that´s Chuck to a T!

The role of Cathy is to be played by Bond girl Gemma Arterton, after the original star, Natalie Portman, dropped out. It´s Gemma´s second major role in a period drama, as she starred in Tess of D´Urbervilles.

Blair as prom queen

How did Lily get to be who she is? Where does Serena get her wild side from? A flash back ep to the eighties sheds a light on Lily´s wild youth. And will Blair get the prom she always dreamed of?

Sooooo… After all the build up of the last weeks, was it worth the wait?
Well, yes. It was. Though as I did last ep, I thought they tried to squeeze way too much into one episode. Lily getting back with Rufus, Lily making up with her mom and of course the whole flash back to her wild and wonderful youth. And then there was prom. Blair and Nate breaking up, Chuck rigging the prom queen vote, that wonderful dress! A lot for one half hour of drama, right?

I liked the eighties bit, though I was surprised to see a smoke free party in 1983 and how apparently it´s fine to snort tons of coke and drink shots and get into a car afterward on a tv show, but oh, no let´s not show people smoking! And I remember the eighties, and, looking back, people just looked kinda lame. I understand they didn´t want Brittany Snow looking like an idiot, so they didn´t make her wear oversized Salt and Peppa tshirts.

I was sorry for Nate. He got dumped like a worn out pair of cheap slippers and Chuck got all the action. I thought it looked like a lame prom though!

Bottom line: Would I watch a Gossip Girl spin-off though? Yes, I would! How about you guys?

Rob Lowe Brothers & Sisters

Kitty and Robert have to decide whether they are going to work at their marriage or call it quits. Joe is getting remarried and Sarah is taking it hard. Justin gets news from med school and shares the news with Rebecca. Nora reaches out to Robert to find Tommy.

Is it me or is Rob Lowe a lot hotter when he´s kinda mean and angry? It´s quite a turn on…
Makes Alec look like a dweeb. Justin and Rebecca getting back in the sack was predictable. Justin is getting creepier and creepier… I love that place where Tommy is hiding out! Anybody know where that is? Nora dressing up like an explorer from the 19th century, hat and all, was a bit over the top though.

The marriage proposal actually made me mist up. In a good way. I´m not a Justin and Rebecca fan, and getting married seconds after getting together for the umpteeth time seems like a divorce waiting to happen, but yes, it scored very high on my romance-o-meter. Shucks….

Lucas & Peyton wedding

Finally, it´s wedding time for Leyton! Nathan´s still dreaming about the NBA and an unexpected guest gets Brooke all hot and bothered.

It´s what we´ve been waiting for all these years, and it doesn´t disappoint. Well, I was hoping for a craze Lindsey shooting the wedding party Kill Bill-style, but apart from that, it was nice!

I love Brooke!
Brooke; “That bitch stole my man!”
Haley: “Yeah I know, but as it´s their wedding day, don´t you think it´s time to let it go?”
Julian showing up with “fake Brooke” was a bit obvious, but very effective. Jamie on a leash was rather a good idea, after what happened last time Lucas got married. And what a great dress Haley was wearing!!!! I will scour the internet trying to find it!!

Chad Michael Murray leaving One Tree Hill

I was genuinely surprised by this little tidbit from EW´s Aussiello. He´s hardly ever wrong, so I guess
Chad Michael Murray and Hillary Burton are truely and definitely leaving One Tree Hill next season!

Who knew? I know, I know, they said they were leaving, we had that weird, teary message from Hilary, but I really thought it was all a hoax to boost ratings and squeeze more money from the producers. I guess that may have been part of it. No offense, but I can´t imagine the two of them having tons of big movie deals in the making. I love them on this show, but I´m not sure they would be any good anywhere else. They´ve been Peyton and Lucas for an awfully long time! Oh well, I hope things work out for them.

And to be fair, apart from the whole dying when giving birth thingy, they haven´t had much of a season. Brooke has had one hell of a roller coaster season, Julian is being boosted up to a cast regular (yay!), Nathan might be playing the NBA, Haley sang with Nick Lachey, Skills slept with Nathan´s mom, even Mouth had a more eventful season (though I pray to God that Milly accidentally gets shot in the finale. Enough already! I so don´t want to watch Mouth and Milly starting a family!)
So basically, they´ve been kinda gone for a season already, and the shows done fine. So I´m thinking: Brulian it is!

SJP and hubby Broderick had their surrogate outed

It´s hard to keep a secret in Hollywood, especially when there´s money to be made, a score to be settled, or both! Apparently, SJP and hubby Matthew Broderick´s surrogate lives in Ohio and her ex husband outed her, either out of spite or because US magazine paid him handsomely. Anyway, it´s not a very nice thing to do. (which is why I´m not repeating her name. Poor lamb.)

Nasty ex claims his former wife should focus more on her own kid, a four year old. I don´t know about that, but I do think people who have the guts to go through a delivery for someone else are real troopers!
