Bryce Dallas Howard will be taking over the role of flame-haired evil vampire Victoria in Twilight Eclipse. The part was played by cute redhead Rachel Lefevre so far, but she´s moving onto an indie drama, Barney´s Way, starring opposite Dustin Hoffman.

Tough choice for Rachelle, because Eclipse is where things get really interesting for Victoria (here be spoilers for the three of you who haven´t read the books) when she whips up an entire vampire army to take out Bella and the Cullen clan who have slain her lover James….

I´m sure Bryce will be great. She was fine in Terminator Salvation and Spiderman 3, so why not Twilight Eclipse? Still, you´d think that on a big deal, mega bucks production such as the Twilight franchise they would put their actors under contract. Swapping actors midway, it´s just a bit… amatuerish. So maybe there´s something they´re not telling us? A bit of dirt somewhere? Bryce´s dad is mega director Ron Howard, maybe he pulled some strings to get her into Eclipse? Just as things got interesting? Hmmmm….
