Robert Buckley talks One Tree Hill

One of the most welcome additions, in my book, in season 7 is that of hunky Robert Buckley, and his abs, who plays Nathan’s sports agent. The former Lipstick Jungle-star said in a recent interview that he “felt like the new kid in school” upon joining the cast.

TVfanatic had an interview with hunky Robert Buckley, who was brought in to replace Chad Michael Murray. Murray and his onscreen wife Hilarie Burton left the show because of contract negotiations gone haywire.
Buckley claims he doesn’t feel like a CMM replacement:
“I never looked at it that way. The show jumped ahead 14 months, so Lucas and Peyton had a child and left; it was a natural course of events.”
He did however feel a bit daunted about joining a show that had been running for so long:
“I felt self-imposed pressure because the show has been a success for six years. I felt like the new kid in school, but I buddied up quickly with [fellow new co-star Shantel VanSanten]. We were like the two kids not sitting at the cool table at lunch.”
