Kate NCIS

Ncis Cote de Pablo
I was rewatching The West Wing and I was struck, once again, by the performance of first lady Stockard Channing. She does such a wonderful job! She can be strict and passionate at the same time, she looks great and she’s always so stylish.
I’ve liked Channing ever since she played feisty Betty Rizzo in the unforgettable Grease. Though she was playing a sixteen year old shool girl, Channing was actually 33. Later years saw Channing, whose real name is Susan Antonia Williams Stockard, in all kinds of movie and tvroles, most notably Six degrees of seperation, Smoke (with an eyepatch!) and First Lady Abby Bartlett.
I think she would make a great chief in any series. Come to think of it, I bet she could take House as well if Cuddy ever pushes off! But as they’re casting the new NCIS, my vote goes to Channing for chief!
NCIS was initially a bit of a slow burner, but after six seasons the show about Naval Criminal Inverstigative Services is staggeringly popular. Popular enough for its own two disc soundtrack and the inevitable spin-off. Itsself a, way more exciting, spin-off of JAG, NCIS 2.0 is going to hit our screens early next year.
I remember, back in the day, that there used to be jokes in the script about CSI and NCIS, but nowadays, the shows are often competing for the highest spots in the ratings.
LL Cool J will be portraying an ex Navy SEAL whereas Chris O’Donnell will be a bit of a human chameleon. Maybe he can reuse his Batman & Robin-suit somehow?
