90210 Blackberry Babe Annalynne McCord

I hope the guys at Blackberry gave her a free Storm phone, because these Annalynne pics at the launch of this new gadget will help sell more of those overpriced babies. Crisis? What crisis?

Of course, in 90210 she plays a very inappropriately dressed high school girl, but I don’t think they could have come up with this outfit. Shame, might help those flagging ratings….

90210 Ethan & Annie get together!

Glad 90210’s back. I know, I know, this show’ll probably get axed next season, but hey, I like to enjoy it while I can.

Homecoming. Great. Adrianna is in rehab, Naomi won’t  forgive her for sticking her with a drug rep, oddly enough Adrianna gets off a lot easier than Naomi did? Anyway, not a hell of a lot happens, really, this episode, and what they really miss is an arc, something that makes you wonder. Now that Ethan and Annie are together, I must say Annie didn’t put up much of a fight, and Dixon and Silver are together and Navid and Adrianna might be together, what next?

They need a bad guy and so far the most evil person in the series is Naomi’s mom. Maybe the long lost bro will turn out to be interesting? It couldn’t be Ethan, I guess, ’cause he’s too young, and it could be cute teach, snogging the undercover detective btw, good going, so who else is there?

90210 gossip
Rumor has it that there’s a new guy on the horizon that’ll get Naomi and Annie at each others’ throats and the long lost son is supposed to surface around episode 10 and will throw Dixon into a frenzy of insecurities. Brenda and Kelly return to the screen to get into more drama, once again and may even decide to end their friendship once and for all. Might not be a bad call….

Let’s wait and see!

Plus, maybe Dixon’s birth dad/mom can come and kick up a fuss? We haven’t heard much about his adoption, only that it was when Annie was already 8 years old. No dark secrets alas, but maybe it’ll liven things up?

Brian Austin Green

When the new 90210 was first rumored my husband came clean about his past: in his teens, he used to have a Jennie Garth poster in his bedroom. I, like any wife worth her salt, gave him hell. So now, I ‘ll let you in on a tiny secret: I used to fancy Brian Austin Green way, back in the day. Not at first, of course, when he was a geek, nor when he was in his I wanna be Vanilla Ice-phase, but once he started beefing up and wearing those shirts that showed off his shoulders and ditched the moustache …. There, I said it. It could’ve been worse, I actually know an intelligent, grown woman who admitted to having a thing for Ian Ziering!

Back then Brian was dating beautiful bad girl Tiffani Thiessen on and off the screen. If that had worked out they’d have had children with freakishly broad jawlines. Just a thought.

Nowadays Bri’s dropped the ‘Austin’ and is playing a soldier from the future in Terminator: the Sarah Connor chronicles. Not nearly as hot, actually, at first I didn’t even recognize him. Grown up, not so cute, haven’t seen the shoulders yet. He has better lines now though: “Yeah, I have a plan. It involves guns.”

And he might do a walk on on the new 90210 ‘if it’s right’. Not sure whether he’s talking artistically or financially there,but it’d be fun!

90210

It’s one of life’s guilty little pleasures, the all new 90210. I really think it’s getting its act together. Starting out as a sappy family friendly show with well intentioned overall bad acting, I think we’re finally getting somewhere.

It helps that the focus is not completely on Annie anymore. She’s cute, but she’s so goody goody I hope that in good ol’ BH-90210 style, she’ll get addicted to something soon. Guess drugs are out after last episode, but hey, there’s always painkillers!

I loved the old show and that started out sappy too, and then from one day to the next they were all having sex (well, apart from Donna, but hey, she got addicted to pain killers!) and getting date raped and stuff. I think that’s just around the corner for the all new 90210. I’m glad they’ve moved with the times and are not advocating abstinence and carting everyone who ever has a drink off to rehab.

And they’re not all bad actors, Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) for one is ok.  One of the biggest beefs I have with Naomi is not her acting, it’s her age. She’s only 20 in real life, but she looks a well preserved 40. She looks older than her mom and a lot less hot, and this is the local IT- girl?

Which brings me to the biggest flaw: the clothes, the godawful clothes! These girls, Naomi, Silver, Adriana, they are supposed to be incredibly wealthy and hip, then why on earth do they dress like THAT? Last episode, uberpopular bitchqueen Naomi dressed in some kind of home made dirndl dress and Adriana, the budding starlet, in something off the rack at Walmarts’. Where is the Fashion? The Louboutins, the Prada, the Rodeo Drive bling? So far, the girls mothers look way more fashionable than they do and the guidance councellor fgs wears better shoes! Don’t know where you went to school, but I sincerely hope I was more with it than my guidance councellor. Then again, he didn’t look much like Kelly Taylor…

Anyway, whoever is in charge of the outfits @ 90210 could learn a lot from watching Gossip Girl. Or HIMYM.
