Robert and Kitty

Kitty’s acting so incredibly neurotic that she might spook the birthmom, Justin says ‘I love you’ to Rebecca and she just says ‘thanks’ (ouch!) and Kevin starts working for his brother in law the senator and has a lot of trouble adjusting. Tommy and Julia spend their anniversary with the entire Walker clan at Magic Manor.

Whaat? ‘The magic of Tommy and Julia’? They both cheated! Like, last Wednesday! Where’s the magic in that? And who on earth celebrates their wedding aaniversary with a herd of overbearing siblings and a meddling mom? Poor, poor Julia ends up being a prop at her own party.

Kitty went in full blown Ally McBeal-mode this episode. Reminded me why I stopped watching. The endless banter, the nervous facial expressions. Poor Robert! The birth mom turned out to be a well educated, self assured, black doctor, not your usual down on her luck trashy teen. How could they not have known that?!

Justin totally freaked Rebecca out by just showing up in her bathroom and standing there. Yikes. That would have freaked me out SO BAD! There’s horror movies based on less than that. And why the hell did she put on her huge towel while still under the shower???!!! Who does that?

Still, liked the episode. Sarah and her geeky new colleagues sitting around, Kitty and George baking cup cakes together, and I do believe senator McAllister is getting cuter all the time.

Yes, we hate you!

I LOVE lists. Favorite teen idols, where are they now? Worst celebrity divorces, ugliest Oscar dresses: I love that kind of stuff. Now EW.com did one of the 24 tv characters that just turn you off. Why 24? Probably because they couldn’t think of any more?

Anyway, who do we hate? Ally McBeal! Of course. Dawson! (though wanting him to die….) Ross Geller! Lili from Cold Case: yes, that horrible hair! What the hell is up with the ‘do? I can never remember any of the plot lines because the hair is waaay too distracting!) Meredith Grey! Izzy Stevens! McDreamy!

Is it a coincidence that half the cast of Grey’s Anatomy is on this list? Shouldn’t someone tell the producers of this shamble of a show that they might as well pull the plug? Well, let it be me! Kill Grey’s  Anatomy, because it’s been on a respirator for years. Do it as a kindness.

Brothers and Sisters Cast

I like B&S, in part for the clever writing and the great acting, but also because they’re old and still looking good. Calista Flockheart annoyed me in Ally McBeal and she’s still annoying. That whole flakey, trying to find myself stuff is getting very old, as she already did that as Ally. For what felt like decades. Every time she’s on the screen in B&S I hear Vonda Shepard - now there’s a blast from the past, whatever happened to Vonda?  On second thoughts, who cares? - singing some sad song about letting go. Yugh.

Anyway, liked the episode, bit much Ojai business, don’t really care, but Nora and Kevin had good story lines. I love Kevin, Matthew Rhys, love the way he’s developed over the years, I like that they portray a more or less realistic gay couple.
The whole Rebecca/Justin thing still has me creeped out though. Even if she’s not actually his sister, she was for a bit and yikes.

Not so steamy Katie

Katie Holmes has made some bad career choices, starting of course, with marrying village idiot Cruise. It’s a bit like Jennifer Anniston: marrying Brad Pitt, then the hottest guy on the planet probably seemed like a good idea at the time, but looking back…..

These days Katie mostly gets headlines for wearing the same pair of sunglasses as daughter Suri or stepping out with Posh, not for her acting abilities and Tom, well, we all know what his headlines are like. finally she’s making a bit of a stir doing some acting, this time in ABC’s Eli Stone, a show I quite like, but wouldn’t miss if it was axed. The singing and visions are all a bit too Ally McBeal for me, and they’re lawyers to boot. Not as much crying, thank god, as on Ally McBeal which seemed to have every episode end with someone walking alone in the rainy or snowy night.

Anyway, Katie’s one of Eli’s visions in an episode that’s yet to air. It’s propably meant to be sexy, dancing in some kind of catsuit and so far it’s been described as ’steamy’ ‘hot’ and ’sexy’.I’m sorry, are we looking at the same pics/vids here? So NOT sexy! Looks like a bloke with a wig in really high heels. Nope. Not doing it for us, not sexy at all.  And steamy only because she seems to be dancing in some sort of cloud. I quite like her singing though. Katie’s episode airs 21st of October
