90210 alum Brian Austin Green has been confirmed for the new CW project Body politic

Mr. Silver goes to Washington! Bad news for Terminator fans, who may have to do without Derek. I know I´ll miss him, there is a serious shortage of attractive men in that series. Then again, that´s probably because it´s mostly a guy series. Anyway, might I suggest some new eye candy?

In Body Politics BAG will be playing Lucky, a young government staffer living and working in Washington DC. Also on the show: Saturday Night Lights star Minka Kelly and Veronica Mars´Jason Dohring.

So what will Derek´s exit be? Big and bloody, a haze of gun fire? Or quiet betrayal? I really hope they give him a memorable send off!

Barney is banished from playing laser tag, which leads to Ted putting it on his Murtaugh List. Marshall takes over Lily´s kindergarten basketball team, but whereas Lily thought it would be great dad practise, Marshall takes it a little too seriously.

McElroy and LeFleur

There was some search engine fun: McElroy and Lafleur, according to Robin “the greatest Canadian action movie of all time”.
Of course, we googled.
According to Ohiomm.com, it´s an actual eighties Canadian cop film series, designed as “Laurel and Hardy with uzis” (did they even have uzis in the eighties? Let alone in Canada?) with lead roles for one Jeff Wincott and Clark Johnson. And Denise Anderson, who later changed her name to Pamela. I love that the HIMYM guys have been up all night thinking up this stuff! Must be so much fun!

Jennifer Aniston Oscars 2009

In a recent interview the How I met Your Mother cast was asked who they hoped the mom would turn out to be.

Apparently, even the cast themselves don´t know yet!

Alyson Hannigan (Lily Aldrin) answered that she was rooting for none other than Jennifer Aniston! Neil Patrick Harris (Barney Stinson!) decided upon adult movie star Jenna Jameson and Jason Segel (Marshall Erikson) said he´d like it to be ´someone like Robin´. Hmmm… Does that mean Robin could still be the mom?! No offence, but I think both Jameson and Aniston are a bit, well, mature for Ted! Can you imagine Jenna Jameson slugging beer with the gang?

Josh Radnor (Ted Moseby) settled for “Someone awesome”.

Let´s hope so! Also, let´s hope we´re not going to find out for a while, because that would be the end of the series!

Apparently, that won´t be anytime soon, because as a part of their new salary negotiations, the cast has signed on for another year, on top of the seven years they already signed on for! I think we can all sit back and relax for a while. Awesome!

Robin’s been unemployed for so long that she’s facing deportation back to Canada. Barney can’t face a world without her and tries to help by making a video resume.

The gang starts mocking each other’s silly resume parts: Marshall still has himself down as a dunking champion, even though he hasn’t been able to dunk for years, due to a, errr, ‘basketball’ injury. Ted still has his college radioshow and Lily her hotdog eating championship. Very, very funny (and was that Alyson Hannigan’s actual, pregnant belly?) but it also made me think: I was my university’s Trivial Pursuit Champion in 1997. Maybe it is time to remove that from my resume….

Alysson and Alexis tying the knot

Rumors had been flying for a bit but now it’s official: Alysson Hannigan and hubby Alexis Denisof are expecting their first baby together. The couple, who met on th set of good ol’ Buffy the Vampire Slayer, got hitched in 2003 and are ‘thrilled’ (can’t anyone ever think of another word? Scared witless for instance? I know, that’s two words…)

Great for them, but how will it affect the storyline? Are Marshall and Lily about to become proud parents? Won’t that be boring? Remember Ross and Rachel? Though we didn’t see that much of that baby.

Or will Lily wear big blousy things, hide her belly behind big objects and simply gain quite a bit of weight on the show? It’s all been  done before…..

HIMYM co-creator Carter Bays told TVGuide.com, “We are thrilled for Alyson and Alexis, and we know that they are going to be amazing parents. It’s too early to say how this will impact the show going forward, although we may have to push the ‘Lily wins a gold medal in gymnastics’ storyline to next season.”

1. Japan?!! HIMYM, I heart NJ (S04E03)

Barney & Robin

Japan?!! Did you see the look on poor Barney’s face when Robin said she’d be moving to Japan?????
Just as I was hoping that this might be the end of Boring Stella (Sarah Chalke), because of the whole New Jersey-thing, by the way, what is up with that? Why was there absolutely no discussion possible? Why does Stella get to storm off and Ted just has to take it?

I really don’t like her, hope she goes away. I will say it again: I like Sarah Chalke in Scrubs, but in HIMYM she’s just a dud. She never has any funny lines and she’s way too grown up for the others, probably because of the whole doctor and child-thing.

Anyway, what will happen with Robin and Barney? Will Barney finally admit to his feelings? Probably. But what will Robin do? And is it me, or is this more a Friends-situation than a HIMYM-situation? I LOVE Barney, I love that he tried to pick up a lesbian! I just sincerely hope they are not going to turn Barney&Robin into Ross&Rachel. Not sure Barney will be funny in a relationship.

I have the feeling, and I think there’s a lot of HIMYM-fans out there who share this sentiment, that the writing’s a bit off this season. Really hope it picks up and ditching Stella, and maybe bringing back Victoria? would be great.
