Joe Manganiello, aka Hunky Owen

Joe Manganiello, aka Hunky Owen

Lucas is trying to write the scene where Keith gets shot by Dan and receives a helping hand from an unexpected quarter, Nathan plays the semi finals of Slamball, but his rivals are out to hurt him, Brooke finds a naked man in her car and Jamie gets a lesson in economics from Sam.

Last episode ended with creepy movie buff buying Lucas’ book and Peyton freaking out. So who is this guy? The answer is reaaaaally boring. I was hoping for drug dealer, the man who sold her baby, her buddy in a bank robbery, but no, alas, it’s simply an ex boyfriend. So then we get a couple of flash backs which are supposed to portray a Great Love Affair, but it’s weak. They’re all loved up and then break up over a BOOK?!

And why doesn’t Peyton simply come out and tell Lucas? It’s a pretty good story for him, basically he broke them up! I know, I know, it’s a soap….

Finding a huge naked man in my car would have totally freaked me out as well, but on second thoughts, Owen is really hunky, so I don’t think I’d have kicked him out. Hot, hot, hot. I guess he’ll be gone again from now on, seen as Brooke doesn’t want to get back together and Nathan is quitting Slamball, and it’s a shame. ‘Cause he sure looked good getting arrested!

Anyway here’s the Sidereel/Megavideo link

Loved last night’s episode. After all the excitement it was time for a quieter episode, give us a chance tyo catch up. Lucas went on his book tour, Nathan went to look at a new team who play Slamball, (it exists! I looked it up!) Peyton got to know her dad better, Brooke is picking up her life: good.

I liked the fact that Mouth finally came out as the cool guy! Being a bit of a hero, even if it is in Oklahoma, good for him! Lucas got taken a down a peg, which was high time. He basically wrote the same book twice and screwed his editor. Nathan playing slamball, well, I guess that’s a way forward. Looks like a bit of a ridiculous game. Brooke fostering the troubled teen, I predicted that, and I love being right, so that story line works for me! Dan sending flowers to Debs? Whaat? Like she’ll fall for that AGAIN? Well, she might. Stranger things have happened in the world of One Tree Hill.

All in all, a pleasant episode, but next week let’s get back to some action. Who can grandpa Dan shoot this time? Maybe Skills should watch his back……

One Tree Hill: You’ve dug your own grave

Brooke

You’ve dug your own grave… was quite an exciting episode. I actually jumped in my seat when Crazy Nanny Carrie suddenly appeared in the car window. Nice!

So what will happen next? Grandpa Dan still seems indestructible, even without a heart he’s still going around shooting people. Which in this case was good, but I really think it’s time for him to kick the bucket already. Doesn’t leave One Tree Hill with many villains though, so my guess is they’ll dig up a heart for the old Danster somewhere.

The Mick-is-my-dad-thing could get sorta interesting, I was really hoping that Mick would show up for dinner at Peyton’s and make a pass at her. The candlelit dinner for two could have so sent the wrong message to an ageing rock & roller! Might delay things for the wedding.

Nathan really needed a reality check: you haven’t played a game in eons and now the NBA is calling? Yeah right! What exactly does he live on anyway? He doesn’t have a job, maybe he should get one. Might get him off his high horse. I like Deb and Skills together. And I sincerely hope I look half as good when I get to Deb’s age!

Which brings me to Brooke: ok, I like Brooke as a character, but the Voice seems to be getting just a little worse each episode. Makes me sympathy cough throughout every episode and I’d like it to stop. I didn’t quit smoking to have my throat ripped because of Brooke!

Also, I think it’s time she got a life. The whole mom-thing is way past it’s due date. I know, they’re all only supposed to be in their early twenties, but as Brooke looks to be at least in her thirties, maybe it’s time to cut the cord: some moms suck. Deal with it! Guess she’ll be adopting the troubled shoplifting teen. Anyway, I’m liking this season, how ’bout you?
