Scoops & gossip on Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Bones & many more!
Serena, Blair, Nate and Chuck set up a scheme to get the money back from Gabriel, but all does not go according to plan. Blair has a decision to make about moving in with Nate or waiting for Chuck.
So much happened in this one episode, maybe they should have made it into a serial! Rufus planning to propose to Lily, and taking relationship advise from his fifteen year old daughter, which seemed a bit silly. Rufus risking Dan´s college fund was very un-Humphreys of him, but I guess we all have our weaknesses.
Serena getting arrested had been in promo´s for weeks, but I hadn´t expected Lily to have her own daughter handcuffed. It seemed a bit over the top. Serena´s done much, much worse and always got away with it (going to Spain for one thing) so Lily coming down like a pile of bricks was out of character.
Not surprised Rufus ran. Shame though, I love a good wedding and Lil looks great in white.
And I am glad evil Georgina is back, even though the way it came about was fairly silly. She can´t have had much faith in the lord to fall off the wagon so soon. Poppy going down will be fun to watch. At least, I hope we get to see it.
Now I can´t wait for the flashback/crossover episode next week! Yay!

Luckily GG is back this week with Seder Anything!
Still, here be some spoilers to tide you over until the next ep Southern Gentlemen prefer Blondes:
Serena gets more and more entangled with Gabriel. Chuck and Nate have to decide what will happen to their bromance, now they are slugging it out over Blair and Blair and Chuck end up spending the night together…
Georgina (Buffy alum Michelle Trachtenberg) is back on the upper eastside and she seems a whole new, reformed, religious being. Really? We´ll have to wait and find out…. (Georgina and Chuck? Surely not?!)

Serena ran off to Spain last ep and comes back MARRIED!!! Blair and Chuck try to dig up dirt on her brand new hubby and draw together, much to Nate´s chagrin… Yay! Looking forward to the 20th of April when Gossip Girl: Seder Anything will air!

>>>Obama´s First Dog disappoints
Jennie turns sixteen. Serena and Lily were planning a sweet sixteen party for her, but Jennie politley refuses, afraid nobody´s going to show up. Evil Poppy talks Serena back into throwing the party anyway, to prove she´s not stuck in a rut.
Serena wanting to prove “she can still throw a great party”?! She´s in HIGH school!
Nate breaks up with Vanessa. Actually, he was kinda mean about it, so no wonder that Vanessa got reaaaaally pissed off!
In the age old soap tradition, they try and make Blair and Nate jealous. Totally backfires, of course.
I´m sorry about Blair and Chuck, but I´m sure they´re not done yet! Vanessa is usually terribly dull and a lot less dull this ep. That´s good.
Memorable quote:
Serena: It all felt so high school.
Dan: We ARE in high school!
Wow, bet Dave Letterman is feeling pretty good about himself, having one of tv´s hottest stars suggest a threeway.
last night on the Late Show
Last year Lively admitted to Dave that she´d always had a crush on him and that Letterman was in the same league as Leonardo di Caprio. Sure, dream on Dave!
It got the Gossip Girl Dave´s undevided attention, even while she was telling a rather longwinded story about a dog on a plane (?) so I guess that her approach worked.

It´s been a. long dry spell, I wonder if I´ll even recognize Dan, Serena, Chuck & Blair…
Oh who am I kidding? I was happy as a clam to see the promo video for The Age of Dissonance!
Doesn´t look like Blair and Chace, I mean Nate are getting back together though. And Chuck and Blair? Thankfully, Dan and Serena are really broken up this time!
Blair gets into a fight to the death with a new teacher who has the hots for Dan. Serena is jealous and feeling self conscious about her intellectual capacities. Chuck discovers something very interesting about his late father’s past.
It was ok. Ish. Blair going bananas is always fun to watch and I think Dorota should have her own fanclub. Then again, she probably does! Serena and Dan, breaking up for the umpteenth time, was mega-mega-boring. Luckily, that’s all done now and let’s pray to God and the GGwriters that they never, ever, rekindle that tired romance again.
Dan getting it on with the hot new teacher was kinda cool, and very un-Dan, not a very breaking the rules, living on the edge guy. Chuck would’ve been a much more likely candidate. Or Nate, with his history with cougars.
Also this frees up Serena for the next ill advised love affair, this time with a completely grown-up Italian jetset type. Apparently, things are getting really exciting by the end of this season. Which is about bloody time, because as much as like to watch Blair scheme and Serena prance around in swanky little outfits, we need a bit of action. Big thumbs up to the lack of Little J, now let’s see if we can get Vanessa to ditch those hideous canary yellow jeans… (you’re supposed to be poor, girl, not color blind!)
Shame we have to wait TWO WHOLE weeks to see the kiss of the season: Blair and Nate!

The Big Bass is dead! Funerals are always good soap fodder, and this one doesn’t disappoint: Chuck runs around screaming insult and getting drunk. Blair tries to comfort him, but he resists her maternal side. Lily and Rufus want to be together and Rufus says he’ll wait for her.
I like that Blair and Cyrus are getting close, I think Blair is basically a family girl, who likes big thanksgivings and lavish Christmasses. Serena going all grieving daughter I thought a bit dodgy, because her mom was married to Bart for all of fifteen minutes and most of those minutes were rather unpleasant! Aaron has got to go. I thought Dan was a boring conceited, well, bore, but Aaron is much, much worse. Plus he desperately needs to shave. Who’d have thought I’d be longing for the days of Darena? I’m curious about the missing baby: would it be anyone we know? Could be Nate….. Or Aaron! Yikes. Jenny designing a bridal ensemble for the great Eleanor Waldorff I thought highly unlikely, silly even. But then I think the whole Jenny-story line should be scratched asap. Can’t she go and live with her boring mum?
I thought the final scene with Blair and Chuck was sweet, they really should get it together, though that would, of course, kill the series. Maybe in the very last episode?
btw: Chace and Taylor? Together? GG is starting to look a lot like a dating show for teens… That’s the third couple getting together!
oh well, no more GG til 5th of January!
