Scoops & gossip on Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Bones & many more!

A relaxed looking Emma Watson talks about her wardrobe malfunction and her life after Harry Potter: she’ll be starting university in the US this fall. On Letterman she was a bit shy about which university she’ll be attending, but I think the cat’s already out of the bag: Emma is attending Brown university. Watch the Letterman video after the jump!

Harry Potter digs older chicks!

Harry potter likes older girls

Harry potter likes older girls

There´s hope for us older gals, if we want to get it on with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.

He said in a recent interview that he finds girls his own age too high maintenance, and prefers his women a little older. “Girls my own age are not really an option,” he told Parade Magazine. “I find, generally speaking, they have to be entertained more than older girls do.” You old romantic Harry! Daniel then continues to explain what he means by “older”: “Most of the girls I have had serious things with are generally sort of in their 20s.”
In their twenties, mind you, so I won’t be filing for divorce just yet.

In the interview with Parade (he’s on the cover, looking rather un-hot we’re sorry to say. He’s one of those guys who are moderately cute as youngsters and probably grow to be tubby and awkward looking. Like the guy from the Wonder Years. Lucky Daniel ’s got all that cash!)

Guess I’ll just stick to watching the movies: Half-Blood Prince hits cinema’s next month! YAY!

Emma Watson going to Yale

Brainy & hot: Emma Watson

Brainy & hot: Emma Watson

Well, technically, Emma Watson MIGHT be going to Yale. The Harry Potter star, aged 18, has been accepted by both Yale and Cambridge! Wow. Guess she doesn´t merely play a brainy chick, she actually has the goods.

The star doesn´t think university will interfere with her acting carreer: “Jodie Foster did it, Natalie Portman did it. I think it’s entirely possible to juggle university with filming. I actually think going to university will make me a better actress. The experience of living like that, working to deadlines, living with other students. It’s all the things I want.”

And the Oscar goes to… Matilda Rose Ledger!

Heath Ledger as The Joker

Heath Ledger as The Joker

Sometimes it´s hard to be the Big favorite, and sometimes it pays off! The Dark Knight didn´t go home with eight Oscars, but it did snag the Big One: Heath Ledger got his well deserved posthumous prize as Best Supporting Actor for his iconic role as The Joker.

According to Oscar protocol, the statuette will eventually go to his three-year-old daughter, Matilda Rose Ledger. According to the academy, the statuette will be held in trust for Matilda by her mom, actress Michelle Williams, until she turns eighteen,” “At that point, she may execute what we call an heir’s agreement and keep the statuette forever – or, if she chooses not to do that, it will return to us.” an Academy official stated.

There were a lot of rumors about who would accept the award, and in the end the prize was accepted very fittingly by Ledger´s family. “Tonight we are choosing to celebrate and be happy for what he has achieved,” said Heath´s mom Sally Bell, who accepted the award together with Heath’s dad, Kim Ledger, and sister, Kate, to a standing ovation on the stage of Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre.

When asked whether Matilda knew about all the Oscar fuss, Heath´s mom commented that Matilda´s mom Michelle Williams keeps her out of the spotlights as much as possible and that the little girl didn´t have a clue.

Heath´s daughter does bear a strong resmblance to her late dad “You just have to look at her to know that she is totally like her daddy.” Said an emotional Sally Bell.

Twilight´s Eclipse: Can they make the deadline?

Twilight

Twilight

The Twilight Trilogy seems to be in overdrive!
The third installment is now set for 30 June 2010. Yep, as in: next year! That´s less than half a year after the alledged release date for second part, New Moon. And meanwhile they haven´t even cast New Moon yet!
Fans are worried  about the level of quality.

Why in such a rush? Well, the obvious answer is Money. Fans are screaming for more movies and the company wants to deliver. Shooting back to back is also cheaper. But there´s another thing: these vampire kids are supposed to be ageless! If they did it the Harry Potter way, they´d simply be too old, too soon.
Then again, let´s see how things work out, because setting a releasedate is one thing, making it is something else completely. They do have to take into account that That Other Incredibly Popular Teen Movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be out in November of 2010. That probably pushed back their deadline.

Twilight the Yawnfest Movie review

Dec 17, 2008 Author: Liz | Filed under: Celebrities
Twilight Bella & Edward

Twilight Bella & Edward

I was in Forks, Washington, this summer. It rained, I had Chinese food and stayed in a flea bag motel with clumps of hair in the bath tub (not mine!) and yukky stains on the carpet (definitely not mine either!). Great Chinese though. And the forests are stunning, almost worth the stains (but not the hair).

And now there’s a whole movie about this tiny town. Twilight is all about a very pretty girl with a very big brain and still it takes her about half the movie to figure out that her hearts desire is undead.

“Your skin is cold, you never eat or drink anything….”

It’s a bit of shame, because anyone who hasn’t been living under a rock for the past couple of years knows exactly what’s going on: Edward is a vampire. It would be like “finding out” half way through the movie that Harry Potter is a wizard. After this unnecessarily long winded start, frankly, I was bored out of my skull.

Rob’s got this dark, brooding Johnnie Depp in Edward Scissorhands-thing going on. Without the acting skills. Kristin on the other hand has all the alabaster skin and the Bambi eyes and doesn’t do a bad job.

As a couple they are just awful. Not for one minute did I believe Edward was in love with Bella. Actually, even HE looked bored. I shudder to think what any sequels will look like. Maybe Rob will do us all a favor and drop out.
Or dead?
