Scoops & gossip on Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Bones & many more!
Ted thought he was designing the building of his career and then finds out the assignment was cancelled a month ago and Barney and Marshall have been faking it ever since. Robin admits to having gone home with a Canadian mystery celebrity and the gang has to guess who.
I of course checked CanadianSexacts.org and it´s HILARIOUS!
Wow. FUNNY! I also googled
, but got sucked into a phishing site, so you may want to give that one a miss!
Memorable quotes:
Lily: “So a mystery celebrity who collects mystery items wanted you to do a mystery Canadian sex act!?! TELL US!”
Lily:”I don´t even know any Canadian sex acts!”
Barney: “Well, you´ve got your Sloppy Dog Sled, your Alberta Fur Trapper, your Full Mounty…”
Ted: “I just got screwed by my two best friends and I didn´t even know it!”
Lily: “In Canada, that´s called a Sneaky Snowplough.”
Loved it! Best ep of the season so far!!!
Lily and Marshall have a ritual where whenever they come back from a trip they bring a six pack of beer and the other one picks them up. This time, they’ve decided their relationship is ‘mature’ and they shouldn’t have those silly rituals any more. But then they change their minds and have to jump through a lot of hoops to get it done after all.
Marshall and Lily are an inspiration to us all! Yes, keep all your traditions, however silly or insignificant!
Ted and Robin are sharing a flat and end up fighting all the time. They try and fix it by having sex, which seems to work, at least at first. Meanwhile, Marshall is having trouble ‘reading a magazine’ at work and keeps showing up at Ted and Robin’s appartment to go to the toilet.
Ok episode, but not great. Barney was, as usual, incredibly funny:
“Can’t a brother just clean another brothers crib?”
And actually buying tv’s to smash. The whole ‘reading a magazine’ thing was a bit off, but I guess there are people who had an ‘aha’ Erlebnis.
I wonder when Barney and Robin will get together. Season finale? Might not be that funny after all, Barney in a relationship? Even though….
Is it me or is Lily already looking preggers? Or are those just what they seem, extremely unflattering baggy outfits?
Anyway, now we know how Ted and Robin end up sharing an appartment, guess it’s time to bring out the goat!
Drew Barrymore sure gets around in tvland! After a very public snogging session with Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick, the blonde actress seems to have her heart set on another sitcom star: HIMYM’s Jason Segel aka Marshall Erikson.
Segel, also known for his role as an actor and a writer on the hit pic Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Barrymore were spotted canoodling at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont. Not a very low key place, so they’re probably not keeping it a secret! They’d make a cute couple. Apparently, they’ve even karaoked in front of an audience together!
You think Lily’s ok with this?
Must be something in the water at the HIMYM set, because only a month after Alyson Hannigan announced her pregnancy, Cobie Smulders, aka HIMYM’s HOT Robin, has stated she too is going to have a baby in the spring.
Series cocreator Craig Thomas commented on the fertility boom on the set:
“Everyone’s tremendously excited by all the impending motherhood here at How I Met Your Mother. We’re all so happy for Cobie and Aly, who will undoubtedly be amazing moms!” said Thomas. “And now, a public service announcement: If you’re trying to start a family, please come visit the set of How I Met Your Mother. Just come by and hang out for a day or two. We can’t legally guarantee anything, but by the time you leave, you will almost certainly be pregnant.”
I for one hope we”re not going to have an influx of babies on the show, because, let”s face it, babies are BORING in sitcoms and would keep the gang from what they do best: hang out in bars.
Great episode, and gladly the End of Boring Stella!
However, did anyone else recognize almost the entire plot of 27 Dresses?
No matter, still a great episode, and a lot funnier than 27 Dresses. Stella’s sister’s wedding gets cancelled at the last minute and Stella & Ted jump in to take the entire thing on. Trouble starts when both their exes show up for the wedding. Classic Barney quotes galore, and wow, what a great ending! I’ll say one thing for Stella/Sarah Chalke: she looked damn hot in that dress!

This video is soo funny. I love Jason Segal, he can lawyer me any day….
Japan?!! Did you see the look on poor Barney’s face when Robin said she’d be moving to Japan?????
Just as I was hoping that this might be the end of Boring Stella (Sarah Chalke), because of the whole New Jersey-thing, by the way, what is up with that? Why was there absolutely no discussion possible? Why does Stella get to storm off and Ted just has to take it?
I really don’t like her, hope she goes away. I will say it again: I like Sarah Chalke in Scrubs, but in HIMYM she’s just a dud. She never has any funny lines and she’s way too grown up for the others, probably because of the whole doctor and child-thing.
Anyway, what will happen with Robin and Barney? Will Barney finally admit to his feelings? Probably. But what will Robin do? And is it me, or is this more a Friends-situation than a HIMYM-situation? I LOVE Barney, I love that he tried to pick up a lesbian! I just sincerely hope they are not going to turn Barney&Robin into Ross&Rachel. Not sure Barney will be funny in a relationship.
I have the feeling, and I think there’s a lot of HIMYM-fans out there who share this sentiment, that the writing’s a bit off this season. Really hope it picks up and ditching Stella, and maybe bringing back Victoria? would be great.
