Sophia Bush shines a light on teachers

You’ve gotta love Sophia Bush. The One Tree Hill babe is not only a gorgeous, funny actress, she also stands up for what she believes in by becoming a spokesperson for The Teachers Count campaign!

If you like the way Sophia acts, one person to thank is her former English teacher at Westridge School for Girls, Pasadena : “He taught me to read between the lines, to see the hidden messages, and to live the stories on the pages.”, said Sophia, “The way he taught me to break down a novel is the way I break down scripts today”.
Bet her old teacher’s just bursting with pride.

Daphne Zuniga returns to Melrose Place

Yet another Melrose Alum has signed up to join the remake cast! Latest entry is Daphne Zuniga, lately known as Brooke´s (Sophia Bush) Uber-evil Momster on One Tree Hill, but back in the day she was a plucky photographer called Jo Reynolds, who got to canoodle A LOT with hunky Grant Show.

Other Melrose veterans who´ve signed on the dotted line are Josie Bissett, aka Jane Mancini, Thomas Callabro aka Evil Michael Mancini, and Laura Leighton aka Sidney. Yes I know, we all saw her die, right? In her weddingdress? Well, apparently she didn´t die that time around, but she´s going to be floating face down in THE Melrose Place swimming pool in the first ep of the New Melrose Place, and a lot of the storyline will circle around whodunnit. Yay! I can´t wait for Melrose Place to begin!

One Tree Hill babe Sophia Bush turned 27 on July 8th and talked about the pressure of staying fit in a recent interview: “As I’m getting older, I appreciate being healthy for the way that I feel, you know for being able to get through a sixteen hour day which is easier when you’re body is functioning properly.”

Yeah, life as a gorgeous star can be so hard. Luckily she´s dating one of her colleagues, James Lafferty, it would be hard to keep a relationship going off set!

90210 Jana Kramer

Danneel Harris, aka Brooke´s evil nemesis Rachel, has just signed on for at least seven episodes of One Tree Hill, starting the second ep. I´m not terribly excited, because she wasn´t really all that evil, but maybe this time around? She could have a go at stealing Julian away from Brooke?

Anyway, let´s summarize the new cast members:
90210 alum Jana Kramer will be playing the new face of Brooke´s fashion label. And BOY is she pretttttty!
Nip/Tuck ´s Robert Buckley is signing on as Nathan´s agent and the relatively unknown Shantel Vansanten as Hayley´s sister.

Grandpa Dan seems back to his old tricks, I like it! Who´s he gonna kill now?
Naley moving out of Tree Hill? Peyton having a miscarriage? Unfortunatly, it´ll probably all turn out to be nothing at all. But I´ll be watching anyway, just to make sure!

Ok, now I´m really hoping for the church shoot out, Peyton pledging her baby to Brooke with her dying breath…. Bring back Brucas!
I guess it could be a ruse of some sort, spice up interest, if everybody just signs back up now, we all know there won´t be any major casualties between now and season 7. But is it me, or does Hil sound like she´s on something?

Chad Michael Murray leaving One Tree Hill?

The good news is that there will be a seventh season of One Tree Hill. On the downside, Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray, aka Peyton and Lucas, haven´t signed any contracts yet! So will we have a Leyton-less seventh season? And would anyone watch it?
Well, there is the whole ´should there even be a seventh season´thing. Personally, I think they might want to call it quits. Let Peyton and Lucas, FINALLY, get married and then blow Tree Hill sky high. Maybe give Brooke a baby. I can imagine they are sick and tired of being on this show. The whole point was whether Lucas would pick Peyton or Brooke, well, he´s marrying Peyton, she´s preggers, let´s wrap this baby up. Fansites have suggested that Naley, Haley and Nathan, could take centre stage, but I think that would merely be mega boring. They´re cute ´n all, but how many times can Grandpa Dan try to get everybody killed?

The return of Brucas?

All this being said, Cmm and Burton might still sign on, or one of them might. I think Cmm is more crucial to the story than rather dull Peyton. Darned cute, but dull. I know a lot of people have been coming out of the closet, well, I´m on team Brucas!

I think the series has run its course and bow out gracefully. Barring that, and as the CW has ordered a 7th season, I don´t think they´re going to back out now, let´s get some mega drama: a Dynasty like shootout at the church, Peyton gives birth and dies in Lucas´arms and Brooke steps up and ends up with the guy and the baby at the end of the 7th season.

Joe Manganiello, aka Hunky Owen

Lucas is trying to write the scene where Keith gets shot by Dan and receives a helping hand from an unexpected quarter, Nathan plays the semi finals of Slamball, but his rivals are out to hurt him, Brooke finds a naked man in her car and Jamie gets a lesson in economics from Sam.

Last episode ended with creepy movie buff buying Lucas’ book and Peyton freaking out. So who is this guy? The answer is reaaaaally boring. I was hoping for drug dealer, the man who sold her baby, her buddy in a bank robbery, but no, alas, it’s simply an ex boyfriend. So then we get a couple of flash backs which are supposed to portray a Great Love Affair, but it’s weak. They’re all loved up and then break up over a BOOK?!

And why doesn’t Peyton simply come out and tell Lucas? It’s a pretty good story for him, basically he broke them up! I know, I know, it’s a soap….

Finding a huge naked man in my car would have totally freaked me out as well, but on second thoughts, Owen is really hunky, so I don’t think I’d have kicked him out. Hot, hot, hot. I guess he’ll be gone again from now on, seen as Brooke doesn’t want to get back together and Nathan is quitting Slamball, and it’s a shame. ‘Cause he sure looked good getting arrested!
